Former Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata does not want to move to the United States.
The veteran Spaniard has not found a club since departing the Red Devils in the summer on the expiry of his contract.
Mata, who is now 34, spent eight years at the Old Trafford club.
According to Marca, Mata is waiting for a suitable offer to decide what he will do next.
He is considering all options, but does not want to drop down to a lower level league at the moment.
He will be hoping that an offer from a team in a top flight European league arrives soon.
