Juhar says Sabah spearheading comprehensive plan to enhance infrastructure

Kota Kinabalu: The State Government is spearheading a comprehensive plan to enhance the State's infrastructure, utilities, and communication networks, said Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.

Juhar said in his policy speech the key initiatives include accelerating the Pan Borneo Highway project, expanding railway services, upgrading the Teluk Sapangar Container Port, and improving water supply and sewerage systems.

“Sabah has also taken over regulatory power for gas, electricity, and renewable energy, launching the Sabah Energy Master Plan 2040 to ensure sustainable and affordable power supply.

“Bridging the digital divide, Sabah is providing high-speed internet access to 300 rural locations using VSAT Starlink technology,” he said.
