In episode 42 of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen, Kuantan, Pahang was mentioned, and it went viral.
Character Nanami expressed his desire to visit a beach in Kuantan before his death.
“Kuantan would be nice”, he said and like bees to honey Malaysians lost it! This included those who do not watch anime.
Due to that, state exco Leong Man Yu decided to contact the writers of the show to further promote the beach in Kuantan.
“Fans of the episode had marked this in the Goohle Maps as a memorial to Kento Nanami”, said Leong.
Besides that, some fans also suggested to build a memorial on the beach to commemorate the character.
“We’re hoping to get an endorsement from the creator of Jujutsu Kaizen so that the beach in Kuantan can become a tourist attraction for anime fans around the world”, she also added.
