Jules Kounde is delighted to be a Barcelona player.
The former Sevilla defender was presented to the local media today at the Nou Camp.
Kounde said: "It was no effort to wait for Barcelona, I wanted to play here."
Koundé recognised the negotiations between Sevilla and Chelsea, but for the Frenchman, the appearance of Barça was a turning point: “When I felt that it was possible, my decision was to come to Barça since it is a big club and they have an ambitious project.
“I have always felt the affection of the coach, he wanted me to come and it is very important to me. He has asked me to continue doing the same as in Sevilla: be aggressive, get the ball and play it and be committed."
He added, “The competition is good, and there are many games. The coach decides who plays, I come to grow. I'm young and I want to help the team at any time."
