Electro-funk trio Jungle preview fifth album Sunshine ahead of its Aug 14 release
BRITISH electro-funk trio Jungle has released its new single Carry On and announced its fifth studio album Sunshine, due out on Aug 14.
The track is the first single from the upcoming album and premiered as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record. It also marks the group’s first major release since Volcano, its 2023 album that helped expand the group’s global reach.

Jungle comprises J Lloyd, Tom McFarland and Lydia Kitto. The group continue to build on its mix of soulful vocals, groove-led production and cinematic songwriting, with Carry On putting Kitto’s vocals at the centre of the track.
Sunshine follows the success of Volcano, which has recorded more than 1 billion streams globally. The album also earned Jungle the group’s first Brit Award and included the viral hit Back On 74, which has surpassed 530 million streams.
The new album will be released in several physical formats, including black 180g single gatefold LP, Desert Peach single gatefold LP, translucent brown marble single gatefold LP and digipak CD.
The group has also announced a global headline tour across three continents. The tour begins in North America in September, with dates in Los Angeles, New York and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The group will continue in the UK and Europe in November, including a show at London’s O2, before heading to Australia in March 2027.
The group released its self-titled debut album in 2014, followed by For Ever in 2018, Loving in Stereo in 2021 and Volcano in 2023.
To date, Jungle have recorded 3.4 billion streams and has more than 9.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
