Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FC II boosted by the presence of several senior players are hoping for a positive result against PDRM FC in the MFL Cup competition at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium, Selangor, today (Monday) at 5.30pm.

Head coach Johnny Dominicus is confident the team will bounce back to regain their momentum following the 2-3 loss to Perak at home on May 28.

The team left for Kuala Lumpur on Sunday and are likely to have at their disposal Daniel Haqim Draman, Azhad Harraz Arman, Hanafie Tokyo Hashim, Hamran Peter, Nureizkhan Isa Japar, while former international Rozaimi Rahman is also available after recovering from the injury sustained during the season opener against Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) II.

“Datuk Ong Kim Swee has agreed to release some senior players to boost our chances of taking all three points against PDRM FC.

“This match against PDRM FC is very important to us, we have made thorough preparations including holding a series of friendly matches to ensure that every weakness can be rectified.

He added that there were no injury issues with any of the players and they are all ready to be teamed up with the senior players.

Sabah FC II have yet to record their first win of the season after losing their opening two matches away to JDT II 0-3 and 2-3 home to Perak FC II.

Their next match is against Sri Pahang FC at home on July 2.
