- The family described his death as “sudden and unexpected” and confirmed that he was “cancer free” at the time.
- Neill, born in Northern Ireland and raised in New Zealand, built a career spanning over five decades in film and television.
- He had previously been diagnosed with stage-three angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma in 2023 but had announced he was cancer-free earlier this year.
