- The video appears to show alleged attacker Rico Gedel leaving the vicinity of Watkins' cell shortly after the incident, then engaging in a brief conversation with co-defendant Samuel Dodsworth.
- Gedel, 25, is accused of entering Watkins' cell less than 20 minutes after it was unlocked and stabbing him three times in the head and neck with a homemade knife.
- Both Gedel and Dodsworth, 44, deny charges of murder and possession of a makeshift knife in prison, with the trial currently ongoing.
