Yes, they’re allowed to sit for the SPM examination, but…

In his statement, Azam also clarified that while all 4 suspects are still allowed to sit for the  Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, but not in the same school.

“They have to sit for their SPM in a detention centre, or a separate place.”

Azam also clarified that, despite being allowed to sit for the examinations, the suspects, who are currently in police custody, will NOT escape punishment.

“It doesn’t mean they won’t be punished. Their SPM examination, which will commence next month, will not interfere with the ongoing investigation.”

Their rights as students and SPM candidates will still be granted, and the matter is now being handled by the authorities.”
