Since the pandemic hit, many small businesses have been severely affected and most of them had no choice but to close down their business. That being said, many eateries around have also begun closing its doors as they didn’t have enough funds to tide them through.

Just recently, a Malaysian fresh graduate shared her heartwarming experience while buying food from a warung. In her post she said,

“This morning I was having breakfast at a warung that serves roti canai. Their staff was friendly and the food was amazing. The best part about it is that they were really quick when serving food! I ordered teh tarik as well as roti canai banjir and it was so good!”

When she was about to pay for her meal, she realised that she only had RM5 in her wallet, but the total bill came up to RM10.

She found out that she didn’t have enough cash, she asked the waiter if she could Touch N Go or QR scan the remaining balance to them, but the shop doesn’t carry any of the payment methods.

A little kindness goes a long way

After finding out that she doesn’t have enough cash, the staff wrote RM10, on a small piece of paper and handed it to her. He then told her,

“Don’t worry about the payment, just come back and pay when you have the money. If you get too busy and forget to come back to pay, don’t worry about it, I will allow it and just treat you for it.”

Malaysians are kind at heart

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Anasofea mentioned that she was at Taman Sri Delima, Kuala Lumpur when she stumbled upon this warung.

“I went back to pay on a separate day. After paying, I decided to order their roti canai banjir again because it was too good to pass up on”, she said.

“God sends us kind people in many ways. The shop trusts their customers even though it’s a huge payment. I am truly lucky to have met such kind people”, she added.

She then ended her post saying,

“Malaysians are kind at heart and they deserve amazing things. Please, if you have the time, feel free to check out their warung, it’s called Warung Roti Canai John. There are plenty of spots to park and the warung itself is spacious.”

It’s truly heartwarming to see how Malaysians are so kind and generous despite these trying times. Thank you for sharing your story, Anasofea, it definitely made our day a little brighter.
