Kota Kinabalu: Justwin Deamin Jonas from Tuaran and Claudia Mai Tindit from Sri Aman, Sarawak, were crowned Mr and Miss Native Borneo (MNB) 2023, respectively, here, recently.
MNB Founder cum Director Leon Dison said the competition for this year’s edition was fierce, with 24 finalists vying for the top prizes – 18 finalists for Mr Native Borneo and six for Miss Native Borneo.
“This is the third edition for Mr Native Borneo and the first for Miss Native Borneo,” he told the Daily Express.
“The programme aims to enhance awareness among the society on the customs and culture in Borneo, aside from promoting the traditional attire.
