Juventus have asked for Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante.

The Blues wanted to sign Matthijs De Ligt before his summer move to Bayern Munich.

And as part of negotiations Juventus asked about Kante's availability, despite manager Max Allegri preferring Jorginho, says CBS reporter Ben Jacobs.

A deal was not agreed but Juventus are said to have retained an interest in Kante, who is in the final 12 months of his contract.

Jacobs claims Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring Kante's situation and he is not close to renewing his Chelsea contract despite Graham Potter reportedly being a big fan.
