Juventus coach Max Allegri admits he was surprised by Jose Mourinho's sacking.
Mourinho was dismissed by AS Roma on Tuesday morning.
After victory over Sassuolo last night, Allegri said: "I'm sorry, Italian football loses an important coach. Both in terms of what he has done in his career and at Roma: extraordinary, from the outside everything seems easy...
"The results demonstrate it. I'm also sorry for the relationship we have, I wish him good luck for the rest and also Daniele De Rossi, who is at the beginning of his career."
De Rossi has been named Roma coach to the end of the season.
