Juventus sports director Cristiano Giuntoli says their prime target this season is a top four finish.
After victory against Torino, Juve are again being touted as title contenders.
But Giuntoli says: "Scudetto? At the moment the objective is to return to the Champions League, from a technical and economic point of view to put the club where it deserves. Let's go step by step."
Asked about the January market, he added: "Could Juventus' capital increase allow us to make the transfer market in January? At this moment we have chosen one path: to exploit what we have available.
"It is premature to talk about January, we will see if there are opportunities and if it is appropriate to intervene. Now we are on a good path."
