In the riveting saga of Kadir's battle against the forces trying to stifle his vocal cords, it seems his detractors are in a fierce competition to tell him to hush.

One wonders if they've formed a "Keep Kadir Quiet" club, complete with membership cards and a secret handshake that probably involves shushing.

As Kadir elegantly puts it, he's been advised to silence himself because apparently, his tone carries the weight of both threat and disdain.

Well, if you can't threaten and disdainfully express yourself on your own Facebook page, where can you?

It's heartwarming to see the diverse group of commenters, ranging from knowledge seekers to angry souls seeking a therapeutic vent, and of course, the elusive cyber-troopers who probably dream of one day writing a tell-all book about their adventures in online warfare.

Kadir, refusing to be silenced, seems to have a keen sense of humour. He acknowledges that some folks choose to become as silent as mice once their wishes are granted.

Maybe they've mastered the art of selective mutism - a skill most politicians would envy.

Comparing those who stay mum for money to Tina Turner's "Private Dancer" is a stroke of genius. After all, who wouldn't want to dance for the sweet melody of cold, hard cash?

But, a word of advice - don't threaten others just because they're not swaying to the same financial beat.

The mention of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's call for reading and thinking is a delightful twist.

Kadir seems disappointed that there hasn't been a follow-up, suggesting book reading and story writing competitions funded by the millionaire backers.

It's almost as if he's saying, “Come on, folks, let's turn the page to a new chapter of intellectual enlightenment, funded by the rich and famous!”

In the end, Kadir leaves us with a profound statement - a nation that does not read can not think, a nation that do not think cannot speak, and a nation that does not speak has no voice.

It's a call to arms, or rather, a call to pens and pages.

So, let the words flow, and may the silence-breakers triumph in this battle of wit and words.
