KALABAKAN: The Kalabakan Confrontation 1963 should serve as a lesson on how vital it is to preserve the spirit of unity among the community today, said Sebatik Assemblyman Datuk Hassan A Gani Pg Amir.
According to him, unity can repel elements leading to division and colonisation.
“Unity is essential for us to get rid of all the elements that can lead to racial division among the people which ultimately leads to colonisation.
“What happened in Kalabakan before became a black mark. Eight members of our security forces were killed during the confrontation that happened in September 1963
