Former Manchester City winger Andrei Kanchelskis believes Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup tonight.
City are set to play a shadow team against the Toon.
Kanchelskis said: "The richest team in the world will play against a less rich team. Money is money, but I think it will be more difficult for Manchester to play away because Newcastle is on the rise now.
"Newcastle will give a serious fight in this game. I'm looking forward to an interesting match. Previously, they understood that City was the favourite, but now the chances with them are 50 to 50. Now everyone is careful when playing against Man City, trying not to play open football.
"I expect a productive match, but not with a score of 0:8 (laughs). Both will score."
