England captain Harry Kane admits standards dropped for their bore draw with Ukraine.

Kane created England's equaliser for Manchester City fullback Kyle Walker after Arsenal defender Oleks Zinchenko had put Ukraine ahead.

Bayern Munich striker Kane later said: "A little bit disappointed for sure. We controlled the game but just lacked a bit in the final third. We didn't quite have those fast connections. When you are not at your best and still get a point it is the sign of a good team. It is not the end of the world."

On Walker scoring his first England goal, he added: "I was so happy for him! We have a joke about it for every camp and I said before you retire I'll give you a penalty! I am delighted for him."

On dropping deep, Kane said: "It is a huge part of my game. Sometimes when you are up there as a lone striker you can have long spells without the ball and I feel I have to get into a bit of space to get on the ball. I feel I can hurt opposition players when I get into those spaces and pass."
