The VB has booked Varinder Singh Buttar, a kanungo at Golewala, for allegedly accepting a Rs 40,000 bribe. He had “sought” Rs 80,000 from Jaswinder Singh to execute a 2025 order for land possession. After the official continued to delay the process, Jaswinder lodged a complaint via the Anti-Corruption Action Line.
