A man was arrested in Sultanpur Lodhi after excise and police officials allegedly uncovered an illegal liquor distillation setup operating inside a house in Suchetgadh village near Sultanpur Lodhi.
According to officials, Excise Inspector Jatinderpal Singh, along with his staff, informed police that a resident identified as Amrik Singh, was allegedly manufacturing illicit liquor at his residence.
During the operation, authorities claimed to have recovered a running distillation unit, illicit liquor, fermented material (lahan) and equipment allegedly being used for illegal liquor production.
Police stated that approximately 2,250 millilitres of illicit liquor, 30 litres of lahan and a functioning still along with related equipment were seized from the premises.
The accused was taken into custody and a case was registered under relevant provisions of law. Further investigation is underway.
