KOTA KINABALU: Karambunai Assemblyman Datuk Yakub Khan wants the Sabah Government to stop dragging its feet and resolve the prolonged land issue affecting villages in his Constituency.
He pulled no punches when he pointed out how some villages are still classified as grazing ground or forest reserves even though they are in urban planning zones.
"How can there still be grazing land and forest reserves in the heart of a developing city?
“These are not remote rural areas, they are communities where people live, work and deserve legal land security,” he said when debating the government’s policy speech, Tuesday.
