Kashmir is witnessing a surge in tourist arrivals as visitors from across the country come to experience its natural beauty. The serene Dal Lake and the region’s cool, refreshing weather are among the top attractions.
A tourist from Delhi, Mukesh, expressed his excitement about the trip. Travelling with a group of 40 people, he described the experience as refreshing and unique, especially compared to the intense heat back home.
“We are enjoying it a lot. The weather here is completely different. In Delhi, it is around 40 degrees, while here it is about 10–12 degrees,” he said.
Mukesh and his group visited Gulmarg, where they enjoyed the snow, and also experienced a traditional shikara ride on Dal Lake.
Encouraging others to visit, he described Kashmir as “paradise on earth” and reassured potential tourists about safety in the region.
“There used to be concerns in the past, but now everything feels safe. We feel at home here. There is no fear, and everyone is enjoying their time,” he added.
