Allahyarham Mohammad Faiz bin Haji Abdul Manaf, a 43 year old bachelor son of my brother-in-law, Ir. Haji Abdul Manaf, and spouse, Hajah Raziah Ahmad passed away in the morning of 28 February, 2026 at Hospital UKM in Kuala Lumpur. He was reported to have a bad fall at his home and became unconscious that resulted with brain bleeding (intracranial hemorrhage). He was pronounced dead at 9.15 a.m. and arrangement was made for the burial in Shah Alam.
The grief of his death not only was a great loss to the immediate parents and siblings but to the entire big family and relatives of Ir. Haji Abdul Manaf, and Hajah Raziah. I noticed the profound, involving a deep sense of loss for the future, the child's potential, and a shared bond. As a father myself, I could feel fathers often struggle to express this pain openly, sometimes leading to isolation or a tendency to focus on supporting others, such as a spouse, while neglecting their own emotional recovery. As Muslims, many fathers try to remain strong, leading to a “hidden” type of grief where they do not show their loss and emotions outwardly. A common sentiment among bereaved fathers is that children are supposed to outlive their parents, and we must willingly accept Allah's judgment in good fate.

Upon graduation, the late Faiz served his father's BW Perunding an engineering consulting company attached as the Head of Accounting Department. BW business is a professional service provided by experts who offer strategic advice, guidance, problem-solving solutions to businesses & analyze their data effectively. As Owner & Managing Director of BW Perunding, Ir. Haji Manaf has offered all his four children: Hariz, Faiz, Adibah & Hafizah, challenging work opportunities, and the goal is to build their career responsibility for the future.

I understand grieving father, Haji Manaf said to me that he would never truly “get over” the loss, but rather learn to live with a changed reality, where the pain remains just below the surface. Organization like the Compassionate BW Perunding should offer specific support for the bereaved parents, families and siblings of the late Faiz.
