Katie Zacharia is gearing up to be the butt of the joke on Saturday Night Live after she was fired from her role as White House press secretary after just a few dismal days in the role.
Although SNL did not air a new episode this weekend, it is only a matter of time before the late-night sketch series takes on Zacharia’s week at the podium, which started with a disastrous debut press briefing and ended with President Donald Trump telling the 42-year-old to “reconsider” her position
The NBC sketch show often parodies members of the Trump administration, with James Austin Johnson’s Trump impersonation and Colin Jost’s Pete Hegseth making frequent appearances on the show — and Zacharia said on a recent podcast that she expects the skewering.
“I know it’s coming, yes,” Zacharia said on Thursday’s episode of Human Events Daily with Jack Posobiec, as USA Today first reported.
She then threw out who she would want to play her on the show: “Maybe a Scarlett Johansson-type character.”

Johansson, who is married to longtime Weekend Update co-host Jost, has appeared on the show several times over the years and parodied figures like Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and Alabama Sen. Katie Britt.
But even if the Marvel star took on the challenge, Zacharia told Posobiec that she does not plan on tuning into SNL because she is “not watching anything right now, except what [Trump] is doing.”
“I do not want to see any of the other X or Instagram or TV right now,” she said.
SNL is taking a short scheduled break after Shane Gillis’s controversial episode last week. The next new episode will air October 31, with Obsession star Inde Navarette hosting and Gracie Abrams as musical guest.
Zacharia has been savaged online for gushing over Trump just five days after she was fired from her role.
“President Trump is a kind, wonderful, gracious, thoughtful, enthusiastic, and hardworking man,” she wrote Friday night on X. “I wish more Americans appreciated him. No one will ever make America great the way he has and continues to.”
“It was an honor to work for him,” she continued, adding a picture of herself and Trump in the White House.
She shared the post hours after Trump alluded to her exit while speaking to reporters on the White House lawn.
“Katie, do you need this?” he said at the time. “Honestly, if I were you, I’d reconsider.”
It was later confirmed that Zacharia had been fired — which she found out in the middle of an interview with the Wall Street Journal.
Zacharia served as press secretary for five calendar days, which makes an even shorter White House tenure than Anthony Scaramucci’s famous 11-day stint as communications director during Trump’s first term.
