KUALA LUMPUR – The Youth and Sports Ministry in collaboration with the Education Ministry is reviewing and reorganising political literacy education programmes to attract the interest of youngsters following the implementation of Undi18.
Deputy Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim said in order to achieve political understanding among the group, the ministry would ensure that the programmes’ concepts, modules, approaches and strategies are interesting and fresh.
“The literacy programme is to produce quality voters with critical thinking who see politics through objective lenses.
“For me, political education is a matter of the national constitution and falls under the jurisdiction of an MP or assemblyman because we want to produce a Madani society that understands the government’s function as well as their role as voters,” he said after appearing as a guest on Bernama Radio today. – Bernama, January 27, 2023
