Kota Kinabalu: Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Rakyat (KDM) is offering itself as the third force for negotiation to restore Sabah rights as enshrined in the 1963 Malaysia Agreement (MA63).

Its candidate for the Kota Kinabalu Parliamentary seat Dato’ Seri Winston Liaw said the reason voters need to support KDM is because at the moment no party has a clear chance to form the next federal government.

To form the Federal Government, he said all the contesting parties in peninsula need to form a coalition with other parties from Sabah and Sarawak.

Under such circumstances, he said KDM can provide the table for negotiation of Sabah rights, even if we win two or three seats.

“We will demand more quota for non-bumiputras to enter public universities and many more,” he said.

“KDM can be the kingmaker, we need the rakyat support in order to have more negotiation power.

“Look at Chan Foong Hin (Pakatan Harapan-DAP) even before winning he already rejected Sabah’s demand of MA63 especially the 40 per cent revenue,” Liaw said.

During the campaign, KDM also received 50 new members.
