Roy Keane has questioned former Manchester United teammate Gary Neville's work at crisis club Salford City.

Neville is a director and part-owner at the League Two club, which are fighting relegation from the Football League.

Neil Wood became the fifth boss recently they have axed in five-and-a-half years.

Keane said on the Stick to Football podcast: "Who brought the managers in at Salford?"

Neville replied: "The managers were me, Karen (Baird, former chairwoman] and Chris (Casper, sporting director)."

Keane then said: "So, if you're on about managers getting players right or wrong, have you brought managers in and (later) thought, 'What was I thinking?'"

Neville replied: "When I look at managers that we've brought in, I think that while some of them may not've been successful Richie (Wellens) obviously we sacked but he went on to win a league (with Leyton Orient last season)."

Keane responded: "It doesn't matter if they win a league somewhere else. That's no good to you, is it?"

Neville then concluded before hastily moving on: "Yeah but my point is sometimes a manager doesn't work at a club, that can happen."
