Manchester United legend Roy Keane has decided against a return to management.

The former Republic of Ireland and Red Devils captain was mooted as returning to the dugout.

However, The Mail have stated that his talks with former club Sunderland have not worked out.

The Black Cats are said to have been rejected by Keane due to contractual issues.

Sunderland are now going to look at the likes of former Norwich and Preston manager Alex Neil.

He is now the runaway favorite to take the position, while Grant McCann, previously of Hull, and former Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi are in the running too.
