Kedah MACC detains MP over RM400k alleged graft involving feedlot project

KEDAH MACC detained a Member of Parliament yesterday evening related to a case involving a cattle-farming joint venture owned by the state government.

According to sources, the investigation conducted since February this year involves the alleged receipt of approximately RM400,000 in return for helping obtain land use rights for the project.

 "An investigation paper was opened following a complaint received on February 10, 2025 and an probe was conducted in which statements from 15 witnesses were recorded."

Meanwhile, Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed the arrest when contacted and stated that the individual had his statement recorded under Section 53(3) of the MACC Act 2009 and released on bail. – December 5, 2025
