KOTA KINABALU: The Kedai Jujur Programme was launched at SK Mutiara on Tuesday to instill honesty and integrity among students, said Sabah Education Director Datuk Raisin Saidin.
The initiative is a collaboration between Suria Capital Holdings, MACC and the Education Ministry.
Raisin, represented by Assistant Director Tham Yun Fook, said the programme benefits the whole school ecosystem while preparing students to uphold truth and resist corruption in daily life.
To date, 10 schools in Sabah — four primary and six secondary — have set up Kedai Jujur stalls, which operate on the honour system where customers pay without supervision.
Suria Capital Managing Director Datuk Ng Kiat Min said the company is proud to support the effort, stressing that integrity is key to building a fair, prosperous and stable society.
At the event, Ng presented a RM100,000 donation to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor for victims of recent floods and landslides in the State.
