Sir Keir Starmer has praised Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta for building the “best squad” he has seen in a “very long time”.
The Labour leader spoke to Arsenal Fan TV about his passion for the Gunners and explained why he thinks it is better to have a team without a “single star”.
“He has created a team where the inevitable question is: ‘Who was player of the match then?’” Sir Keir said of Arteta.
“Everybody picks someone different, because most of the time, it’s quite difficult to say who the standout player was. Because they are all playing so well in their positions.
“That is the way he manages the team.”
