A 34-year-old man tragically lost his life in Kelantan on Sunday, November 10, after reportedly suffering a seizure and accidentally drowning in a bathroom water container. The incident occurred at the man's home in Wakaf Bahru, Tumpat, and was reported to authorities at approximately 4:01 p.m.
According to Tumpat district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Khairi Shafie, initial investigations suggest the man experienced a seizure, which caused him to fall head-first into a container filled with water in his bathroom. The victim was discovered unconscious and transported to the Forensic Unit of Tumpat Hospital around 6:00 p.m. for an autopsy, which confirmed drowning as the cause of death.
While the incident has been classified as a sudden death, police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding it. Assistant Commissioner Mohd Khairi advised the public to avoid spreading speculation and to respect the privacy of the grieving family during this difficult time.
