A 77-Year-Old man has been remanded for five days by the Magistrate’s Court here from Friday to assist in investigations into prostitution activities in Kelantan.
Alongside him, two women who own and manage the premises, four sex workers, and a Bangladeshi man identified as a client were also detained to aid the probe. The remand order was issued by Magistrate Wan Muhammad Izzat Wan Abdullah.
The suspects, aged between 36 and 77, are being investigated under Sections 372A and 372B of the Penal Code.
A police source said the raid took place at 11.15pm on Jalan Kebun Sultan, conducted by officers from the Gang, Gambling, and Vice Division of the Kelantan Contingent Police Headquarters’ Criminal Investigation Department.
“All the detained sex workers are foreign nationals, comprising three Thai citizens and one Vietnamese,” the source said. “Urine screenings confirmed that all suspects tested negative for drugs.” - October 24, 2025
