Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Mohamed Fadzli Hassan told the State Legislative Assembly that the state government has implemented a comprehensive Anti-Corruption Plan and Whistleblower Policy to ensure transparent governance.

KOTA BHARU: The Kelantan state government has adopted various measures to ensure that the state administration is conducted transparently and with integrity, and remains free from misconduct, abuse of power and corruption.

Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Mohamed Fadzli Hassan said the efforts were spearheaded by the Integrity and Governance Division at the State Secretary’s Office, which has six main functions covering governance, integrity enhancement, complaints management, verification, detection and compliance.

“The state government also has an Anti-Corruption Plan in place to serve as a preventive measure at agency level, supported by risk assessments, action strategies and monitoring.

“The plan focuses on public administration, law enforcement, corporate governance, as well as transparency and accountability,” he said.

He was responding to a question from Mohd Almidi Jaafar (PAS-Bukit Bunga) during the Kelantan State Legislative Assembly sitting at the Kota Darulnaim Complex here today.

Mohamed Fadzli said the state government had also established official channels for members of the public and civil servants to report corruption, misconduct, abuse of power, and systemic weaknesses for further action.

He urged the public to channel complaints through the designated platforms to facilitate investigations, rather than making unsubstantiated claims on social media.

In addition, he said internal audit measures were enforced to ensure that all procedures complied with the established regulations and standard operating procedures.

Replying to a supplementary question from Mohd Rodzi Ja’afar (PAS-Gaal) on whistleblower protection, he said the Kelantan State Secretary’s Office had introduced a Whistleblower Policy across state government departments to encourage civil servants and the public to report integrity breaches, abuse of power and misconduct.
