On 13 February, Astro Shaw revealed an animated poster featuring Keluang Man in a pose that many say resembles Marvel's Deadpool. Adding to the controversy, the tagline reads, "I'm not Deadpool." This led to a wave of criticism, with some calling it unoriginal and an embarrassment, while others defended the creative effort.

Despite the backlash, excitement remains for the film, which stars Nas-T as the iconic hero. Keluang Man, known for his comedic and uniquely Malaysian twist on the superhero genre, originally aired from 1998 to 2005. The live-action adaptation is set to hit Malaysian cinemas on 29 May 2025.
