KENINGAU: A 31-year-old man was killed and another seriously injured when a Toyota Hilux Single Cab skidded off the road and crashed along Jalan Bakiau Bypass here late this afternoon.
Police said the vehicle, driven from Kampung Mempikit towards Kampung Durok, lost control at about 6.15pm before plunging into a drain, hitting a culvert and ending up on the roadside.
District police chief Supt Yampil Anak Garai said passenger Dino Alexius died at the scene while the driver, Kelvin Tan Ze Fan, 27, remains in critical condition, with investigations pointing to speeding and possible negligence as police await toxicology results.
