Keretapi Sarong is back again!
Every year, on Malaysia Day, Malaysians and our foreign friends alike would gather at designated train stations to ride the train while donning sarongs to foster unity through culture. And this year is no different!
The organiser, LOCCO, took to their Facebook page to announce the theme for this year’s Keretapi Sarong, as well as the train stations where people can head to and participate in the celebrations.
They wrote, “For this 8th year, the Keretapi Sarong 2024 event will be graced with the theme ‘Bangga Malaysia (Proud Malaysia)’. Let’s get prepared to express our love for Malaysia in the most lively and exciting way! Together, let’s make this year’s event the most meaningful one for everyone.”
When and where?
For those who are interested in attending, don’t forget to put on your favourite sarong and make your way to any one of these selected train stations on September 14 (Saturday) at 8:30am.
“The starting stations for Keretapi Sarong 2024 have been confirmed, gang! (Are you) ready to rock Malaysia with ‘Bangga Malaysia’ and sarong vibes? Just choose one of these selected stations and let’s march together,” they added.
We honestly cannot wait to get our sarongs on and celebrate Malaysia Day with a bang of culture and tradition!
