KENINGAU: The Keningau Tourism and Culture Association (Ketca) will organise a Keningau Tourism Promotional Short Video Competition in collaboration with the Sabah Film and Visual Association (Safva) Keningau Zone, with support from the State Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry.

The competition aims to uncover creative talent among youths and practitioners in the creative industry across Sabah, with a particular focus on Keningau.

Participants are encouraged to produce high-quality short videos lasting between one and three minutes using smartphones to promote Keningau’s attractions, culture and natural beauty.

Organising chairman Rafie Robert said the competition was not merely a platform to showcase talent but an important effort to drive the growth of the local tourism industry.

“We invite all talented individuals to take part, as this is an opportunity to showcase the beauty of Keningau to the world through your creative lens,” he said.

Rafie, who is also Ketca chairman, said the competition theme, Keningau Tourism, covers areas from Apin-Apin to Senagang.

Selected videos will be showcased on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok after the submission deadline on Jan 25, 2026, with further details and entry forms available on Ketca’s and Safva’s official Facebook pages from Tuesday (Dec 16).
