  • The inquiry is centred on the fuel control switches of the Boeing 787 involved, which are crucial for managing engine fuel flow.
  • A preliminary report from India's Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) found the switches almost simultaneously flipped from 'run' to 'cutoff' shortly after takeoff, causing engine power loss.
  • The AAIB says it is premature to draw any final conclusions about the crash.
