
TAMBUNAN: Kampung Solibog has been selected as the first location here to implement the Paddy Planting Revolution programme.
A preliminary site visit was conducted by the Sabah Paddy and Rice Board (Lembaga Padi dan Beras Sabah – LPBS), the Department of Agriculture, and several government agencies in preparation for the official launch ceremony scheduled for May 20, 2025.
According to the Chairman of the Tambunan District Paddy Development and Management Committee, Datuk Lawrence Gimbang, who is also the programme organiser, the initiative will serve as a pioneering model to introduce modern agricultural practices, particularly in paddy cultivation.
