A resident of Kharar was in shock to receive a challan for his scooter parked at the housing society where he lives.

In a complaint to the Kharar police, Ram Kumar Bhargava, a resident of Western Tower, Sector 126, Kharar, stated that a challan was issued against his scooter (CH01BD4164) at 5.07 am near Saint Kabir School/Grain Market, Sector 26, Chandigarh, on May 21.

He stated that the challan was wrongly issued because at that point in time his scooter was parked in his society. He added that his claim can be verified from the CCTV footage from the society.

He added that there was a minute difference between the registration number plate of the vehicle mentioned in the challan and his scooter. In the complaint, he expressed apprehension that someone could be using a fake number plate of his scooter.
