Kota Kinabalu: Kian Kok Middle School’s RM18 million eight-storey multi-purpose building is finally open, a decade after construction was completed.

Designed as a modern multi-purpose centre, the building includes classrooms, a library, student entrepreneurship spaces, and income-generating facilities to support the school’s operations.

Praised as an innovative and forward-thinking initiative, the school-generated income concept is seen as a model for 21st-century education.

The official opening ceremony was held at the Huang Qin Nan Grand Hall and officiated by the Board of Governors' permanent honorary chairman Datuk Dr Tan Siu Lin
