PENAMPANG: Police said they found no evidence of a kidnapping attempt at a Penampang shopping centre as claimed in a viral social media post.
Police said they received a report that on Dec. 6, a youngster was allegedly grabbed by the arm by an unidentified person while walking through a store.
According to police investigations, the complainant was at a store browsing for jewellery when one of her three children, who was behind her, suddenly screamed. An unidentified woman was standing close to her child.
However, investigations revealed no evidence of a crime implied by the individual who shared the post on social media.
