  • The assault occurred on Thursday morning in the workshop of HMP Frankland, near Durham.
  • Durham Constabulary confirmed that Huntley, 52, remains in a serious condition overnight.
  • Police have identified a prisoner in his mid-40s as a suspect in the attack.
  • Huntley was convicted of murdering 10-year-olds Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in Soham, Cambridgeshire, in 2002.
