  • A former gamekeeper, David Campbell, has been jailed for a minimum of 19 years for the murder of his old colleague, Brian Low.
  • Campbell, 77, shot 65-year-old Mr Low with a shotgun on 16 February 2024, near Pitilie, Perth and Kinross.
  • The court heard Campbell harboured a "festering grievance" against Mr Low, believing he had been framed for illegally poisoning birds of prey.
  • Campbell disabled CCTV, used his wife's e-bike to travel to the scene with a shotgun, and later attempted to conceal his involvement by changing the bike's tyres.
  • A jury at the High Court in Glasgow found Campbell guilty of murder by a majority verdict after a nearly three-week trial.
