“THE Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan” — the series top billed by Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, or ‘KimPau’ to fans — will air on Primetime Bida this March, bringing to television an expanded version of the mystery-romance series that previously streamed on Prime Video Philippines.
The TV adaptation features new scenes and an alternate ending not included in the streaming release. It follows Stella (Chiu), a seductive escort, and Vincent (Avelino), heir to a powerful digital news empire, who become entangled in dark secrets after Stella agrees to serve as Vincent’s alibi when he is identified as the prime suspect in the high-profile murder of his rival, Walter (Sam Milby).
The primetime version delves further into Stella and Vincent’s relationship and the circumstances surrounding Walter’s death, with additional plot developments and revelations.
During its initial run, the series drew attention for scenes highlighting the tension between its central characters, including confrontations between Stella and the character portrayed by Sofia Andres, as well as the rivalry between Vincent and Walter. One widely discussed moment featured Chiu performing a pole dance sequence opposite Avelino.
The ensemble cast also includes John Arcilla, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Rafael Rosell, Robbie Jaworski and Angelina Cruz. The series is directed by Onat Diaz, Jojo Saguin and FM Reyes.
