A heartwarming act of kindness unfolded when a local man stepped forward to assist a grieving mother and her son in their journey across a 268-kilometer distance from Johor to Seremban in Negeri Sembilan.

The woman took to Facebook to share her dire need to travel across state lines to attend her husband's funeral. Initially considering ride-hailing services, she was taken aback by the staggering fares.

According to an image posted, the one-way fare from Skudai to Seremban amounted to a hefty RM 874.30. Contemplating a round trip, the total expense would soar above RM 1700.

The woman emotionally shared cherished images of her late husband on Facebook, expressing her deep sense of loss and longing for her deceased spouse. Left with limited options, she sought the kindness of strangers to assist in transporting her and her son to Seremban.

Following her post, compassionate netizens offered suggestions, some proposing ride-sharing services, while others volunteered to transport the mother and child between Seremban and Johor Bahru for a fee of RM 1000.

In a touching turn of events, a compassionate local man inquired about negotiating an affordable fare in the comments section. Subsequently, he generously offered to transport them to Seremban without any charge, after discovering that the woman couldn't afford to pay much.
