A woman who was spending time with family at a shopping mall in Kuching suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground.
Despite the public’s best efforts to save her life, the woman sadly didn’t survive and died at the hospital.
According to a Facebook post and Sin Chew Daily, the incident took place at Vivacity Megamall yesterday (Sept 16) at around 4pm.
Several members of the public immediately rushed to the woman’s aid when she collapsed to the ground, including a former nurse who performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on her.
She was then rushed to the red zone of the Emergency Department at Sarawak General Hospital for emergency treatment but didn’t survive.
The woman was later identified as Jun Azlin binti Jamanil, the principal of a kindergarten named Tadika Tahfiz Hikmah Kuching.
At the time of writing, no official statement has been issued by the authorities regarding the woman’s cause of death.
