
HIS Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, today paid a royal visit to the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2025 (LIMA '25), held at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC).
Arriving at 10.15am, His Majesty was received by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Chief of Defence Force General Datuk Mohd Nizam Jaffar.
Accompanying the King were his sons, Tunku Temenggong of Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar, Tunku Panglima of Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman, and Tunku Putera of Johor Tunku Abu Bakar.
Also in attendance to welcome the royal delegation were Deputy Defence Minister Adly Zahari, Army Chief General Tan Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan, Navy Chief Admiral Datuk Zulhelmy Ithnain, and Air Force Chief General Tan Sri Mohd Asghar Khan Goriman Khan.
During the visit, Sultan Ibrahim toured several key exhibition booths, including those of Sapura Secured Technologies (SST), the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), and Turkiye’s Ministry of Defence.
His Majesty concluded the visit at approximately 11am.
LIMA ‘25, co-organised by Malaysia’s Ministry of Defence and Global Exhibitions and Conferences Sdn Bhd (GEC), remains one of the region’s largest platforms for defence and aerospace industries since its inception in 1991.
This year’s event, themed “Today's Innovation, Tomorrow's Achievements”, focuses on technological advancement and fostering competitiveness among industry stakeholders across Southeast Asia. - May 21, 2025
