THEIR Majesties the King and Queen of Malaysia have paid tribute to teachers nationwide, describing educators as a vital force in moulding future generations equipped with knowledge, strong moral values and the ability to compete in an increasingly challenging world.

In a message issued in conjunction with Teacher’s Day celebrations today, Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Zarith Sofiah expressed appreciation for the sacrifices, patience and commitment shown by teachers in educating the nation’s youth.

According to a statement posted on the royal couple’s official Facebook page, Their Majesties acknowledged the central role teachers play not only in imparting knowledge but also in nurturing positive values among students.

The royal couple also expressed hope that the welfare and wellbeing of educators would continue to be strengthened and enhanced to ensure the teaching profession remains respected and capable of producing outstanding generations of Malaysians.
